Chemistry or Forensics and You

Welcome to Mr. Reinard's Chemistry and Forensics Classes. These classes are really interesting. Teaching science is my passion and I am very excited to share my enthusiasim with you. This blog is going to be something that will be of great value to you. Throughout the school year I will add posts to this. Some posts will be interesting applications of what we are doing in class, others will be extra credit assignments that you can do just by blogging on the posts. One major extra credit assignment I will be offering is to blog on a book that we will be reading in class all year called Napoleon's Buttons, which can be purchased on amazon by clicking the link. While this will not be required, it will be a mjor extra credit assignment for you. Here is your first extra credit:
  • For Chemistry classes:
  1. Purchase the book Napoleons Buttons.

  2. Answer the question via the blog, What do you think will be the most interesting and the most boring thing about Chemistry?
  • For Forensics:
  1. Answer the question: Why did you want to take Forensics and would you be interested in a career related to forensics?

  1. I wanted to take forensics because I have always been interested in crime scenes. I always used to watch mafia shoot em up bang bang movies with my Dad and thought they were so cool. I never really understood how people could get away with murder and how they can get rid of the evidence. I don't know if I would be able to handle crime scene investigation as a career because I would feel really bad for the families of the victims. Nicole Pulli period 2
